Rebecca and Todd Got Married

On Saturday, April 19th, Rebecca and Todd tied the knot at the beautiful Arlington Ridge Club House in Leesburg. Everything was perfect, even the weather cooperated for the ceremony in the courtyard.

As you can see in the photos, Rebecca is a beautiful bride, surrounded by those who love her. I love the wording on their invitation - "Our marriage will be a sacred bond that will hold us closer together - It's based upon the love we share that will grow stronger every year".

The reception was at the club house, highlighted by great food, a wonderful Cake By Carrie, and lots of family and friends helping them celebrate.

I wish Rebecca and Todd a wonderful marriage!

Chad, A Senior Portrait Session

Chad is a senior at Mt. Dora High School and will be graduating soon. He and his mom, Vicki, told me the same thing I've heard many times - the senior photos from the school really don't reflect who the student is, and the selection really isn't very good. Well, those problems go away when Digital Dan Photography does your Senior Portraits.

We did Chad's session on location at Ferran Park and in downtown Eustis. We had a good time and Chad had over a hundred images from which to choose his favorites for the wallets, 5x7 prints and 8x10 prints. We even did a few with him and his mom.

Good luck to you, Chad, in your college courses and on your career!

Baby Ramzie

In 2004, I had the privilege of photographing Heather and Jason's wedding. This month, I got to photograph their baby Ramzie, along and the proud parents. Heather works with her mom, Denise, at their shop, the Country Hair Jamboree in Eustis, which by the way, have done wonderful work with lots of brides whom I have photographed.

Ramzi is about 6 months old now and is a member of Digital Dan Photography's - The Baby Plan. He is so darn cute! Watching and documenting with portraits how Ramzie changes is great for the family and I enjoy it too. As Denise will tell you, grandparents are invited to review the baby images on the big screen monitor in my studio. So, don't forget them when you set up the appointment.

Kristi and Michael's Wedding

Kristi and Michael had a perfect wedding day! The location was spectacular - the Martin Ranch in Umatilla. The pond provided a great backdrop for the ceremony site and a giant tent was beautifully decorated for a reception for more than 300 guests.

It was so great that my assistants and I took soooooooo many photos, it's going to take Kristi and Michael quite a while to look through all the digital proofs.

The bride's mom, Debra Rogers, is the Vice Principal at Mt. Dora High School and arranged for the Culinary Arts students to cater the event. And, they did a great job, cooking and serving bar-b-que chicken and pork along with all the fixins'.

Kristi and Michael are enjoying a honeymoon in Cancun. I can't wait for them to see the images when they return.

The Baby Plan

Digital Dan Photography is excited to announce offering The Baby Plan. This plan is great for those of you who have recently had or are expecting a new addition to the family. The plan cost is only $199 and includes 3 portrait sessions to be scheduled for when the baby is newborn to 3 months old, 6 months and 12 months old. You choose your favorite portrait from each session and I will retouch and print a 5"x7" print to be mounted in a 3 panel frame that will be delivered after the 12 month session. And, you will also receive an additional 8"x10" portrait from each of the 3 sessions. As they say on TV, "but wait there's more", you can purchase additional prints for HALF the regular studio price. Wow, that's quite a deal with hundred of dollars saved!

To schedule your first session, just give me a call at 352-589-0407.

The images can be in color, sepia or black/white, like these of Braxton and his proud parents Brian and Brooke Williams. He is soooooo cute! I can't wait to see how he changes througout his first year.

Jennifer & Robert Wedding

It was a perfect day on March 1st. We had a beautiful bride, handsome groom and the Golden Ocala Country Club is one of the most spectacular wedding locations I've ever seen. Even the weather couldn't have been better.

I felt right at home with the wedding party, as I was the photographer for Jennifer's sister JoAnn's wedding last November. It was great to see their family members and friends again.

As you can see from the photos, her gown was stunning. Everyone had a great time thoughout the day, especially at the reception. We took lots and lots of photos, that are posted on-line. Now comes the hard part - narrowing down their favorite selections for the album. If you didn't pick up an access card at the wedding, send me an email and I'll pass along the instructions for viewing.

I wish Jennifer and Robert the very best. What a nice couple!

Nidza and Eric Wedding

The rain was coming down hard, but the spirits were very high and everyone enjoyed the beautiful wedding and reception for Nidza and Eric. The ceremony was under the gazebo at Wooten Park in Tavares, next to the lake. Nidza was escorted, under the umbrella, to the ceremony site where Eric was anxiously waiting. I heard from several guests that if it rains on your wedding day, your marriage will be full of sunshine and happiness.

The reception was held at The Third Place Restaurant in downtown Eustis. After a romantic first dance, Eric's brother, the Best Man, made a toast to get the reception started. Soon afterwards, the beautiful cake from my favorite cake vendor - Cakes By Carrie - was cut and shared with the guests. The Groom's Cake was really unique. It was in the shape of a tooth, representing Eric's dental practice.

I've been to a lot of weddings, and I must say the food provided by The Third Place was some of the best ever.

Check out their photos on line at http://www.digitaldanphoto.com/, select PROOFING, then enter the user name (grooms last name) and password, 13519.

Congrats to Nidza and Eric!!!!!!!!

Heather & Wes - A Love Story

I photographed a very unique wedding in January for Heather and Wes Grinnell. I asked Heather for some background information and received the beautiful love story that follows. Please read -

We met in the summer of 1995 while planning a going away party for a mutual friend leaving for college. We had such a wonderful time together, that Wes asked me out to dinner. We were together all through my High School years and were still together when my sister, Suzy, was born. We did everything together. We dated for the next few years and were completely inseparable and totally in love.....it was that head over heels, home run out of the ball park kind of stuff...and everyone knew it!

In 2003, we started seeing each other again and realized that we didn’t want to spend another minute apart from one another and that nothing in life mattered more than spending the rest of it with each other.

Wes has been everything to me and been there through everything with me.
We have been through births and deaths together and stood strong, holding hands, through it all. He was there with me and my family when both my father and my Uncle Bill passed away and has been my best friend, my foundation, my rock and my love through it all.
Our service was lovingly dedicated to the memory of my father, John Dabney, who, I have no doubt, sent Wes to care for me for the rest of my life.

Wes works at LRMC as a Surgical Technologist & I work at the Lake County Judicial Center as a Judicial Assistant.

Well, Wes proposed while we were on the horse and carriage in Mt. Dora. It was on Valentine’s day, which was extra special because it was also the 3 year anniversary of my father’s death. Wes knew my dad very well and while he was still on his knee, he said that he proposed on this day because he knew that my dad would have wanted us to celebrate a day all about love, and not morn his loss. He was right! We LOVE Mt. Dora and knew we wanted to get married there. We also knew that we wanted to get married when it was cold outside (or as cool as it gets in FL); and per Wes’ request, he wanted to get married at the same time it was when he proposed, 7:30p.m. So, we began the hunt. I have a very dear friend who is an attorney in the area and she told us that Donnelly Park left their Christmas lights up the entire month of January. We immediately fell in love with the idea and checked into it right away! We have since been informed, that we were the first couple to ever get married under the lights of Donnelly Park!

Then began the hunt for the photographer!!! Most of the ones we met with were not experienced enough with photographing at night...and particularly not a wedding with tons of little white lights. Then we met Dan. We fell in love with Dan right away and he felt confident that he could capture the lights just as I had hoped! As we worked with Dan for our Engagement pictures and then again with my formal sitting, I became more and more impressed with his work!

Thank you Dan, for capturing our very special day and taking such amazing photographs for us to look back on for a lifetime!

Jennifer & Joel's Wedding

WOW! What a great wedding and reception. Jennifer was absolutely stunning in her dress from Formally Yours. And the bridesmaids were also beautiful. Also, let's not leave out Joel and the guys.

The Garden Room at Lake Receptions is such a great place to get married. After the ceremony, everyone went across the hall into the ball room which was opened up to handle all the reception guests. Everyone had a great time dancing and socializing with family and friends. And, Cakes by Carrie did their usual outstanding job with the beautiful and delicious cake, along with the Groom's Cake, decorated with the Florida State logo.

I had a great time photographing the bride/groom, wedding party, family and guests. You can view more photos on line by going to my website, http://www.digitaldanphoto.com/ and clicking on the PROOFING tab. Then enter the groom's last name and the password - 13519. Take a look at all the photos, but first look through those in the Artist Touch folder. I've already retouch some of my favorites and put them in that folder for you to enjoy.
